Hallie Yamamoto SWT Intern

Hallie is a social work student at Cleveland State University,
obtaining her Master's of Social Work this upcoming spring. She gained
a Bachelor's of Health Science degree with a minor in Psychology in
2024. Upon having children and reflecting on her own life experience,
she has realized that social work has been her calling all along. As a
Cleveland native, she takes great pride in serving those in her
community, favoring the diverse environment we live in.

Hallie has experience working with the homeless population entailing
to at-risk mothers and children. Hallie has a strong sense of empathy
and
understanding and recognizes the importance of advocacy and
relationships in children and families. She enjoys working with women
and children, assisting them in working through their feelings and
circumstances and how to cope with them.

She favors facilitating grounding exercises, creating a safe space for
all those around her, empowerment, expressive arts, and cognitive
behavioral therapy techniques.

In her down time she likes to watch documentaries, reading, art
projects, and spending time in nature exploring and bonding with her
little ones and friends.
