Aylisa Grenald, RN Intern

RN Intern

Aylisa is a student studying at Kent State University to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She previously studied at Case Western Reserve University, where she obtained bachelor’s degrees in Cognitive Science and Psychology, and a master’s degree in Nursing.

Since 2022, Aylisa has been working as a registered nurse in the pediatric float pool, where she gained experience in many medical specialties, including the Child and Adolescent Psych Unit.  Other medical units where Aylisa has experience include neonatal, gastrointestinal, respiratory, surgical, epilepsy, hematology, and oncology. She also has some experience working in a pediatric outpatient clinic.

At the beginning of her studies as a PMHNP, Aylisa did her clinicals at an adult psych and behavioral health clinic, where they specialized in individual psychotherapy, medication management, group therapy, and substance abuse management.

With well-rounded experience, Aylisa understands the importance of a good support system and the impact the environment can have on a child’s growth and development, and how that impacts them in adulthood. She understands that no client is the same, nor would they respond the same to treatment; therefore, it is essential to have a collaborative approach to creating holistic, individualized treatment plans for each client.

Outside of work and studies, Aylisa enjoys scrapbooking, journaling, traveling, spending time with her family and friends, taking care of her guinea pigs, and going on dates with her fiancé.
