Janice is a Counseling and Art Therapy student at Ursuline College. This summer she is
working as a Practicum student at Winston Consulting & Counseling. She is interested in working with women in trauma, and is trained in Relational Cultural Theory. She strives to approach issues with cultural humility and awareness of her own privilege. Janice also believes that mental healthcare is a collaborative process that is founded on meeting you where you are.Janice is also passionate about providing a safe environment for all clients. Janice believes in making mental health care more accessible, and strives to develop and employ art therapy techniques that are accessible and intimidation-free.
In her training, Janice incorporates elements of relational cultural theory, rational emotional behavioral therapy, and person-centered therapy. This summer, she is eager to learn from peers, clients, and mentors alike. Outside of school, she enjoys running, reading and crocheting. She also enjoys spending time with her two cats, Milly and Tuffy.
