Keenya Steele is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with dual training in family and psychiatric care. She earned her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from Ursuline College and her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Walden University, providing her with a strong foundation in both medical and behavioral health treatment.
Keenya provides psychiatric medication management and works collaboratively with therapists and counselors to support comprehensive, individualized care. She also has experience in addiction medicine, managing substance use disorders and supporting patients through recovery with evidence-based, compassionate treatment. Her background as a Family Nurse Practitioner allows her to evaluate the whole person and rule out medical conditions that may mimic or contribute to behavioral health symptoms, ensuring safe and thorough care.
She is committed to creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment for children, adolescents, and adults, partnering closely with families and the clinical team to promote stability and long-term wellness.
In addition to her clinical work, Keenya is a veteran medical examiner and founder of a nonprofit focused on reducing stigma and expanding access to mental health care across the lifespan. In her free time, she enjoys family time, self-care, and binge-watching a good series.
